[dropcap]C[/dropcap]asey’s life in photography has its origins in Sandpoint, Idaho, under the guidance of her grandmother. She honed her skills on trips to Europe, Mexico and Africa beginning in the 1990s. She graduated from Beloit College in 2003, and launched her photojournalism career in Beloit before moving on to staff positions at the Marshfield News-Herald, the Times of Northwest Indiana, and joined the Billings Gazette in 2007.
In addition to her daily newspaper work at the Gazette, she continues to pursue her passion for music and animal photography, and enjoys time raising two mutts, Rajah and Nali, with her husband, Dan.
